In collaboration with NDIS, Care We Share helps participants build capacity to independently travel using our transport and travel assistance services. Transport support consists of personal transport training to use public transport, related aids, and equipment. Our NDIS transport services go hand in hand with participation in community, social, economic, and daily life activities through our taxis and specialist transport arrangements.
Thus, in this way, we, as an NDIS transport provider, help physically disabled individuals to live their lives independently by making efforts of rendering access like alternative forms of transport.
Travelling by Yourself: We provide options that can help you gain access to taxis, rideshares, community transport, and other suitable transport methods. The funding for this can be accessed under NDIS transport.
Travel Assistance: Care We Share can assign a support worker that will drive you around or even accompany you in your travel, whether it be shopping, social events, or transport for your medical appointments.
The trips are charged per hour including total time of travel and the costs of travel for the support worker to and from your place of residence.
Increase self-dependence for Transport and Travel: Our main goal at Care We Share is to help our participants gain independence through our NDIS travel services. We also have many participants who have taken lessons to manage their transport and travel. We help our participants determine their eligibility for funding their capacity building exercises for public transport training or driving lessons.
Vehicle Modification: After completing the required lesson, the next and the most logical step for our participants is to own a vehicle. It is at this stage that we help our participants modify their vehicles to accommodate their disability.
We provide a pick-up and drop-off facility – this is to help assist our participants with their transport and travel requirements.
If you want to travel to and from your place of work, study, or community participation, we can help you find a support driver. We ensure that the support drivers that we source for you are well trained and are properly briefed about your needs and requirements.
